Meet Gary.
Gary is a bedsheet ghost in flip-flops. He has sunglasses, a surfboard, and absolutely no idea he's at a horror festival.
Gary is the friendliest thing about this festival. The rest of it is fire, lantern light, sideshow performers, and a sinister MC who takes his job very, very seriously. Gary takes nothing seriously.
He surfs. He owns one pair of thongs. He's been at the Sunshine Coast for as long as there's been a Sunshine Coast. He thinks he's on holiday, and nobody's ever had the heart to correct him.
What Gary Thinks the Festival Is
Beach party.

Where You'll See Him
- Hanging around the vendor market in some form or another
- On the festival's Instagram, mostly looking the wrong way
- On t-shirts, stickers, posters, plush merch (eventually)
- Probably trying to surf the Mooloolaba break
- Wherever the trouble is, although he hasn't worked that out yet
How Many Garys Have There Been?
Officially: one Gary. He's been around for as long as there's been a Sunshine Coast. He'll be at every Sunshine Ghost Festival, every year, in some form. Don't worry about it.
